What is AutoSplit?

AutoSplit is a feature available in the WMS that divides orders across multiple picking lists. This allocation is based on product availability and storage location.

Benefits of AutoSplit

1. Efficient partial shipments: When not all ordered products are in stock, AutoSplit can ship part of the order. This means a picking list is created for the available items and backorders are created for products that are out of stock. For example, if you have an order for face cream, hair gel, and sunscreen, but only the face cream and hair gel are currently in stock, AutoSplit can ensure that these two items are shipped to the customer right away.

2. Smart backorder management: If immediate delivery is not possible, the WMS creates backorders for the remaining products. These are assigned to the warehouse from which the other products are shipped, enabling coherent and organized order processing.

3.. Flexible calculation times: AutoSplit runs during order processing. In addition, the system can recalculate later when stock statuses change, for example, if AutoSplit was initially disabled and is later enabled.

In short, AutoSplit is a very useful tool for our customers to manage their orders and warehouse operations more efficiently and effectively.
