Order fulfillment essentially refers to traditional order processing, without a direct connection to e-commerce, for example. Several steps are involved in processing an order. The set of steps that must be completed ultimately constitutes the process.

The type of order processing we use is called “e-order fulfillment, ” but is actually better known as “e-fulfillment.” The “e” stands for “e-commerce, ” so e-fulfillment essentially refers to a type of order processing that results from an online transaction.

The main differences between B2C and B2B order processing lie in the level of storage required and the number of SKUs and items in an order. Specifically, in B2B we refer to “Bulk-in, Bulk-out,” and in B2C to “Bulk-in, Retail-out.”
