DPD Terms and Conditions

Insurance The insurance coverage is up to €520 per package (purchase value).

The weight of the shipment
The weight is limited to 31.5 kg per package.

Dimensions
Maximum length per package: 1.75 m.
Maximum dimensions per package: 300 cm (1xL + 2xW + 2xH).

DPD Surcharges

Energy Allowance

DPD applies a variable energy surcharge to the package price for all services and products. This price is indexed, which means that DPD always adjusts the surcharge in line with fluctuating energy prices. You can find the current energy surcharge at www.dpd.nl/brandstoftoeslag

NSP (Non-Standard Parcel)
The NSP fee is €1.75 per package*.
A package is considered a Non-Standard Parcel if:

• The package has a length or diagonal measurement exceeding 130 cm;
• The package weighs more than 20 kilograms;
• The parcel has an unstable, irregular shape (spherical, cylindrical, roll-shaped);
• The parcel is not packaged, or not properly packaged, according to the packaging guidelines (see www.dpd.com/nl/nl/support/inpakken/)
• The label on the package is missing or illegible;
• A package that, for whatever reason, requires additional manual handling or sorting. If the package is larger than 175 cm, weighs more than 31.5 kg, or has a circumference greater than 300 cm, only the surcharge for oversize and overweight applies.

Total package dimensions: 300 cm (= 1xL + 2xW + 2xH)

Exceeding the dimensions and weight limits for the NP package

Exceeding the dimensions and weight limits for an NP package incurs a fee of €44.50 per package. The NSP surcharge does not apply if this surcharge applies. DPD applies maximum dimensions and weights for packages. If the dimensions of “standard packages” are exceeded, DPD charges a surcharge. This surcharge applies if a package exceeds the following dimensions and/or weights:

• A package has a length or diagonal measurement exceeding 175 cm;
• The package weighs more than 31.5 kilograms;
• The package has a circumference greater than 300 cm.

Exceeding dimensions and weight for KP packages
Exceeding the dimensions and weight for NP packages costs €7.50 per package. DPD applies maximum dimensions and weights for packages. If the dimensions of “small packages” are exceeded, DPD charges a surcharge.

This surcharge applies if a package exceeds the following dimensions and/or weights:

• A package has a length or is longer than 50 cm when measured diagonally;
• The package weighs more than 3 kilograms;
• The package has a circumference greater than 111 cm.

Age check
€1.59 per package. Surcharge for verifying that the recipient of the package is 18 years of age or older. Mandatory for the delivery of alcohol and tobacco in the Netherlands.

Proof of Delivery > 12 months
€2.65 per proof. A Proof of Delivery (POD) can be requested from Customer Service up to 12 months from the date the package was, or should have been, delivered. If a request for a POD is submitted after 12 months, DPD will charge a surcharge. DPD will not process requests submitted after 24 months.

Unfulfilled collection requests
€2.65 per package. If a collection request cannot be fulfilled by the carrier for reasons beyond the control of DPD and the carrier, DPD will charge a surcharge.

Returns of undeliverable or refused packages:
DPD Classic rate + €2.65. Packages that cannot be delivered, are refused by the recipient, or are not picked up within the Pick-up Parcel shop’s holding period (7 days) will be returned to the sender. Packages refused by the recipient are returned immediately. DPD charges a surcharge for returning these packages.

Customs clearance fees
