How do you change product codes?

Changing product codes is an important process that must be carried out with care. We offer you a streamlined way to do this without losing the product’s complete history.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Go to the product in the WMS and click 'Edit product'.
2. Update the product code and make sure to update the product code in the webshop (or other sales platform) at the same time. This ensures that the products in the WMS and your webshop remain consistent.

Need to change a large number of product codes?

If you need to update a large number of product codes, we can assist you with the process. However, this requires some preparation:

1. Provide an Excel file containing the old and new data.
2. Temporarily set the connection with your webshop(s) or other sales platform to inactive to prevent orders from coming in with the changed product codes in the webshop while the change has not yet been implemented in the WMS.
3. We will update the product codes on an agreed-upon date and time.
4. Once the updates have been made in the WMS and the online stores, the integrations can be reactivated.
